Giannis Taps IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat to Launch His Streaming Era

Switch It Up: Giannis Antetokounmpo Eyes the Streaming Scene

Giannis Antetokounmpo, the 2024 NBA Cup MVP, is gearing up for what he calls “the greatest offseason of all time,” and he’s looking to shake things up—potentially by stepping into the streaming world. A recent social media clip circulated from the Milwaukee Bucks’ TikTok account reveals Giannis’s curiosity and excitement about the possibilities the streaming format offers.

Joined by his wife, Mariah Riddlesprigger, Giannis shared his enthusiasm, saying, “I’m having so much fun this summer. It’s gon’ be the greatest offseason of all time, yeah.” The conversation quickly shifted as Giannis joked about how engaging with fans and creating videos together felt like hosting his own podcast, nudging him toward the idea of streaming.

“Should I start streaming?” Giannis asked, prompting a playful warning from Mariah about the demands of family life—they have four children and plenty of responsibilities to manage. Unfazed, Giannis doubled down and turned to established streamers for help. “Alright, so Speed, Kai Cenat. Man, help a brother out.”

He expressed admiration for the streaming duo’s skills and engagement with fans, recognising the lucrative nature of the platform. “I’ve seen them, how they do. They’re actually really good at it, engaging. They’re very good. … Why is that not right for me? Do you know how much money they make? They make a lot of money, baby.”

Giannis’s potential pivot isn’t unique among celebrities exploring new digital frontiers. Recently, even Young Thug, during his ComplexCon 2025 performance, jokingly announced plans to “stop doing music” and “start streaming,” highlighting a growing trend where stars seek fresh ways to connect with audiences and expand their influence online.

As the offseason unfolds, all eyes will be on Giannis to see if he indeed makes the leap into streaming, ushering in a new chapter both on and off the court. Switching it up could prove to be a game-changer for the “Greek Freak” and his ever-expanding legacy.
